Rana Begum @ Mead Art Gallery

Rana Begum explores the perception of light and colour through vibrant paintings, sculptures, and installations. Known for her use of geometric abstraction, Begum has made a series of new large-scale works that respond specifically to the Mead Gallery’s architecture. Through a variety of materials and painterly techniques, she explores the shifting perceptual effects of light as it interacts with her work and the gallery space. The exhibition Dappled Light, also features her first video installation which captures the fugitive light in a woodland as it cycles through the seasons.
