Berni Searle draws on a series of her works for this exhibition: Interlaced, which shows continuing engagement with the effects of colonisation, dispossession and displacement; Lament, in which the artist subverts the iconography of Christian lamentation, and instead laments the atrocities committed against the Congolese;  Mantle I, where you can see the incorporation of the artist’s own body, and in Mantle II, Searle is covered in a golden cape.
