Claire Baily @ Castor Projects

A solo show by London based artist Claire Baily. The wall based objects and suspended forms that make up Dream On sit somewhere between painting, design object and sculpture.
Baily’s interest in design is evident as there is a strong Art Deco resonance in the work. They both share rich colours, bold geometric shapes and (often) lavish ornamentation. Art Deco combines traditional craft motifs with machine age imagery and materials. Baily’s work celebrates much of the Art Deco movement, embracing technology to produce finely crafted components.
