Lynda Benglis & others @ Richard Saltoun Gallery

Outside, looking in, is a group exhibition celebrating the fundamental role women have played in the evolution of abstract art.

The exhibition offers a foray into the practice of eleven international female artists – some working exclusively with abstraction – and the circumstances that too often hindered their recognition.

Artists are: Shelagh Wakely (1932-2011), Romany Eveleigh (1934-2020), Barbara Levittoux-Swiderska (1933-2019,  Bela Kolarova (1923-2010), Rosa Lee (1957-2009), Jan Wade, Annergret Soltau, Joan Syyder, Vivian Suter and Lynda Benglis.
