Pauline Alexander @ Chalk Gallery

Pauline Alexander suffers from deafness and is interested in the part our senses play in creativity. She believes her deaf perspective offers a positive influence affecting colour, aesthetics and rationality enabling her to tap into her depths. Abstraction demands a lot, instead of reproducing something outside of herself, she now goes inward and use everything she has learned thus far in her life.   She works with pastel overlaid onto acrylic and charcoal on prepared paper.
