Description

Join us for an evening discussing the rise in representation of female-identifying artists in the UK as we celebrate the 10-year anniversary of East London Fawcett’s Art Audit, a year-long campaign that assessed female representation in London’s museums and galleries. We will hear from the authors of the Freelands Foundation’s 2015-2022 report which continued ELF’s research as we reflect on the changing landscape for women artists over the last decade.

Panelists:

  • Dr. Charlotte Bonham-Carter – curator, educator and author of Representation of Women Artists in the UK, Freelands Foundation, 2016 and 2022
  • Mary Evans – artist, educator, Director of Slade
  • Dr. Kate McMillan – artist, educator and author of Representation of Female Artists in Britain 2018-2020
  • Gemma Rolls-Bentley – curator, educator and author of the initial 2012-2013 East London Fawcett Art Audit

Friends and Patrons: £15; guests: £20.  THIS LISTING IS FOR FRIENDS AND PATRONS as our discounting system is temporarily not working.  Please only RSVP here if you are a UK Friends of NMWA Friend or Patron.  There is a separate listing for all guests.
